Just4(Kicks) is a quartet of four good friends whose mission is to sing well, entertain, and share our love of barbershop music. Ask us to sing a song and we'll never say no!

We met while singing in the Harmony Celebration Chorus of Sweet Adelines International (formerly known as the Ramapo Valley Chorus) and over the years became good friends.  Since we were always hanging out together, and there were four of us after all, we decided to become a quartet in the Fall of 2000. Two of us had to switch parts, but it was well worth it. Our repertoire consists of songs we've borrowed(!) from some of the very best men's and women's quartets to ever sing in the barbershop style and some original arrangements in the Just4 style!  Our original bass, Mary Jo Pardee, who sang with us for over 13 years, retired from the quartet in 2014 and our new bass, Janet Cebula, joined our ranks later in the year to make the combination you see and hear today.

About our name... some of you may know us as Just4(Kicks) and some may think of us as Just4. There's a story there, of course. When we began singing together, we were very casual about it. We named ourselves Just4(Kicks) since it seemed to capture our philosophy. We were dedicated to having fun and getting together whenever we felt the need- not necessarily having a regular rehearsal schedule. We were so casual, in fact, that we forgot to re-register our name with Sweet Adelines International a while back, and a quartet from Wisconsin decided to call themselves Just 4 Kicks. Since we didn't want to give up on our old identity entirely, we registered ourselves as Just4. A few years ago, that quartet in Wisconsin hung up their socks, so we're Just4(Kicks) once again! Bottom line--we'll answer to whatever you call us - be nice though!
